Come to this show and see some swell books!
My friend Michael just finished work on an awesome anti-valentines book titled The Best Cure For A Broken Heart. It's a combination break up story journal and soup-recipe cookbook, with illustrations. Sick! Anyways, he's having a release party this Thursday and he invited me to join him with Evolver/Constructor. If you are in Rochester (or near) you should go dammit! Here are the details,

Thursday, Feb. 16th at 8 p.m., in the A|V Space ($5 donation)

There will be complimentary soup, music-like performances, and films! And the full contents of his press release can be found below. GO!

(in case you're in the book buyin mood, I'm selling mine for $12 and his is $7.)
also, check out Michael's website, Snore and Guzzle Press.
Noiche!

Friends of Snore & Guzzle:

I am happy to tell you about the release of a new book we’ve made. The
title of the book is "The Best Cure For A Broken Heart." This is a book
that has collected over twenty true stories of love gone sour. In other
words, it’s about people having their hearts broken. The stories are
told in a plain, unvarnished style by ordinary people. But the book is
not just a total downer, it has a sunny side as well. Juxtaposed
alongside the stories are therapeutically hearty soup recipes,
guaranteed to distract you awhile and keep you company. And we all know
what misery loves.

The book is 68 pages long with original illustrations by Barbara
Wilkinson and Shawn Creeden. The book has been printed in a very limited
run, so be sure to pick up your copy tout suite. The book is available
for purchase online, for more details please click the following link:

For those of you in the Rochester region, we will be hosting a release
party Thursday, Feb. 16th at 8 p.m., in the A|V Space
(www.artsoundspace.org). The entertainment for the evening is as follows:

+ Reading by Yours Truly
+16mm classroom films, titles include: "I Am Sad" and "My Turtle Died
Today"
+ A variety of soups, catered by Nathan’s Soup & Salad
+ Music by Micah Blue Smaldone
(listen to samples here:
http://www.northeastindie.com/somesweetdayplayer.htm )

Please join me for a little soup on the chin and a few crumbs on the vest

~Michael

Waaahh, I wanna go but I have class until 10 and the professor threatened to break my legs if I miss another session. For serious. He was very nice about it, tho. The British are such polite bullies.

It's ok, better that your legs don't get broken.
